What is the autonomy of a standard battery in an SC-200 Trailer & Container Pack?

The autonomy of the battery depends on the type of battery and Ampere per Hour. On trailers we use standard rechargeable batteries of 7Ah because we are able to reload the batteries via the accessories connector or alternatively via the ABS safe power outlet. On containers we use the same expandable batteries and sometimes a complementary 20 Ah battery.

Can I use the modem also for my trucks, vans, boats?


Yes, the SC-200 Modem Pack can be installed on all vehicles with a power source.

Which sensors does SpaceChecker use?


SpaceChecker uses standard sensors for Dallas Semiconductors linked via the MicroLAN interface. The most commonly used sensors are door sensors, temperature sensors and tether/un-tether sensors on the ABS/EBS. Click here for more information.

Is the SpaceChecker system also working as anti-theft system for vehicles?


Yes, you can use our system as tracking & tracing system and sensors allow you additional anti theft protection. On several occasions the SpaceChecker system has been successfully used to track down stolen trucks and trailers.

Can I check the distance driven of the trailer and how is it calculated?


Every 10 seconds the modem is calculating the difference between the last 2 GPS positions. All information is stored in the memory of the modem and sent every time there is a new report/message. It’s necessary to send a minimum of 1 message per day to have the daily calculated kms because the modem keeps this information max. 24 hours in his memory.

Is it possible to read out analogue information (=meter reading)?


Yes, the SpaceChecker modem has 2 analogue ports to read out meters or other analogue information. Some of our specialized applications are Supervisory Controll and Data Acquisition (SCADA) relating to water and oil and gas pipelines and wind generators,.
